Arrival in Meissen

By car:

We recommend the car park at the corner of Neugasse and Rossmarkt.

Nearby: City Bus departures and Marktgasse footpath to the historic market square

 

You can also use the Old Town Burgberg car park, in front of Albrechtsburg and the Cathedral

at the corner of Meisatsraße and Leipziger Straße

 

by train:

Meissen Altstadt station (Neumarkt Arkaden)

Description of a possible convenient route from the train station to the historical town centre:

1. You take the lift from the platform to the ground floor

2. Go straight ahead, entrance Neumarkt Arkaden

3. Exit the Neumarkt Arkaden to the right, along the ramp, to the

pedestrian lights

4. At the pedestrian lights, cross the road and take

Hahnemannsplatz straight ahead to Rossmarkt

5. From Rossmarkt, turn right onto Marktgasse. From there, follow the

convenient route marked out
